History of Dudhwa Tiger Reserve
The area of this national park was established as a wildlife forest sanctuary for Swamp deer in yesr 1958 whereas, it became a Tiger Reserve in 1979. Together with Kishanpur Wildlife Sanctuary and the Katarniaghat Wildlife Sanctuary, this area was named Dudhwa National Park. All this was made possible by Billy Arjan Singh, an Indian conservationist, hunter and author, who helped it get the tag of a national park in January 1977.
Best Time to Visit Dudhwa National Park
Dudhwa National Park is open for visitors from 15 November to 15 June but to have the best time and spot some of the amazing animal life in their natural habitat, the ideal time to explore this amazing national park is between February and April.
