Jhadi Taal In Kishanpur Sanctuary Dudhwa National Park
Welcome to the Kishanpur Wildlife Sanctuary, Jhadi Taal that has the highest number of Barasingha with the number even going upto 800. Situated at the distance of 30km from Dudhwa National Park, this sanctuary spreads over 203 km and banked at the Sharada. The Dudhwa and Kishanpur Wildlife Sanctuary forest are not adjacent and is separated with the land in between.
The vegetation of Kishanpur looks like Dudhwa’s with dense riparian forests and moist deciduous trees such as teak, sal, and Jamun. A desirable 450 residents and migratory bird’s species visit Dudhwa Tiger Reserve and plethora of these can be witnessed at Jhadi Tal which is the premier waterbody of the Kishanpur Sanctuary. Tourists have witnessed herds of barasingha, chital, or playful otters prancing about Jhadi Tal. It is the tiger that is basically hard to pin down. Jhadi Tal is a well known hotspot for the glimpse of this meticulous striped cat that is entirely the matter of chance.
